Insulated tanks are used mostly for must mucus elimination before fermentation and, later on, for wine stabilization. When eliminating mucus, it is important to do it as quickly as possible. During wine stabilization, on the other hand, the cooling period must be very short, but the wine should then be kept at a low temperature for a while, which enables the formation of tartaric acid crystals.
An insulation tank is used to carry these processes out succcessfully, while also saving energy and easily maintaining the desired temperature.
Insulated tanks are a must for every better equipped winery. We recommend them to every winemaker that places great importance on product quality from grape to bottle.
