Die Okavango Craft Brewery wurde 2019 in der Stadt Maun im Norden Botswanas gegründet und ist die erste lizenzierte Mikrobrauerei in der Region. Die Brauerei ist nach dem Okavango-Delta benannt, einem Gebiet, wo heute eine der größten Elefantenpopulationen der Welt lebt. Während ihr Hauptziel darin besteht, Bier von höchster Qualität herzustellen, sehen sie ihre Pflicht darin, dies mit minimalen Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt zu tun und durch ihre Aktivitäten auch lokale Wirtschaft zu unterstützen, vor allem die Landwirte, die sich der Bedeutung der Koexistenz mit Elefanten bewusst sind und in der Landwirtschaft nachhaltige Methoden anwenden.
