Fondée en 2019 à Maun, une ville dans le nord du Botswana, Okavango Craft Brewery est la première microbrasserie dans cette région. Elle porte le nom du delta de l'Okavango, qui abrite l'une des plus grandes populations d'éléphants au monde. Bien que leur objectif principal soit de fabriquer de la bière de qualité exceptionnelle, ils se sont également donné pour mission de réduire leur impact environnemental et de soutenir les économies locales, ainsi que les agriculteurs locaux «conscients des éléphants» qui utilisent des méthodes agricoles durables.
