Pressing systems
We manufacture presses with three different pressing systems:
- open pressing system (PSP): Half of the drum is perforated, the other half is covered by an impermeable membrane. The advantage of an open pressing system is a large draining drum surface.
- closed pressing system (PST): Half of the drum is covered by an impermeable membrane, perforated draining channels run all along the other half. The drain channels are electropolished. The advantage of a closed pressing system is a reduced possibility of must oxidation. Closed presses can also be used for grape pomace fermentation and maceration in the drum.
- closed pressing system with possibility of hyperreductive pressing (PSH): Half of the drum is covered by an impermeable membrane, perforated drain channels run all along the other half. The drain channels form a connected web, which creates a larger draining surface. The PSH press combines two pressing systems. It can be used for classic or hyperreductive pressing.

Automation level
Pneumatic presses enable a controlled and precisely run pressing process: multiple cycles of grape pressing at different pressures, automated or manual grape pressing. Programmed automation softwares are developed based on years of experience, but the winemaker is still able to change the pressing parameters and save their own customized pressing programs.
We offer different designs of classic control units with a keypad or a touch screen control unit.

Big sliding hatch
Pneumatic presses are equipped with a big sliding hatch, which enables faster drum filling and emptying. The hatch design, dimensions, and other options depend on press type and size. You can choose between a classic sliding hatch or a hermetic hatch, which also enables grape pomace maceration inside the drum.
For easier maneuvering, the hatch can be equipped with a pneumatic drive, which is especially recommended for larger presses.

Presses with a cooling jacket
On request, pneumatic presses with a closed drum can be equipped with a cooling jacket. The cooling medium circulates in the space between the press drum jacket and the additional external jacket.
The cooling system enables the winemaker to actively interfere with the processes that are carried out in the drum during grape pomace pressing and to guide them into the desired direction.
