Manual welding

Manual welding offers maximum flexibility. Welders can adapt welding techniques in real time to meet the specific demands of each project, allowing them to create complex and custom components.

Versatility: Suitable for a wide variety of materials and thicknesses.
Customization:  Enables product adaptation to the client's specific needs.
Applications:  Ideal for small batches, repairs, prototypes, and complex welds requiring high flexibility. Performed exclusively by certified welders (e.g., TIG 141, MAG 135).

Machine welding

In machine welding, the operator uses specialized equipment (semi-automatic machines) that enables process control, while the machine handles the repetitive tasks.

High repeatability:  Reliable weld quality across batches.
Consistency: Uniform welds with minimal variation.
Speed: Significantly faster than manual welding.
Applications: Serial production of large quantities of identical products, where speed and uniform quality are essential.

Robotic welding

The welding process is performed by a programmable industrial robot that can be equipped for various welding techniques such as TIG and MAG.

Adaptability Robots can be programmed for different welding processes.
Flexibility: Suitable for various workpiece shapes.
Repeatability: Ensures consistent weld quality and precision.
Applications: Serial production of large quantities of identical products.

Orbital welding

Orbital welding is a process where a welding torch or electrode orbits a stationary workpiece (e.g., pipes or pipe joints).

Quality and repeatability:  Precise and consistent welds without deviations.
Hygiene standards: Smooth, flawless welds. Ideal for industries with strict sanitary requirements (pharmaceutical and food industries).
Tight tolerances: Enables welding with minimal deviation.
Applications: Pipe joints requiring sterility, repeatability, and precision.

Laser welding

Laser welding is a technologically advanced method of joining metals using a focused light beam. At Škrlj, we offer pillow-plate laser welding and manual laser welding solutions.

Low heat input:  Concentrated energy, minimal material deformation.
High quality:  Clean and strong welds, minimal post-processing.
Flexibility: Suitable for various metal types.
Speed: Significantly faster than conventional welding methods, reducing production time.
Applications: Welding of double jackets (pillow plates) on tank shells. Welding of products where aesthetics are a top priority.
